Most prospective college athletes are not actively recruited. Almost all of the athletes who compete at the college level initiate the recruitment process with their school by simply informing the coach that they want a chance to try out for the team. To expedite this process most colleges and universities have produced prospective athlete questionnaire forms that gather some basic information from an athlete. Here is a list of links to prospective athlete questionnaires from Oregon universities.
*Athletes wishing to try out for the football team at the University of Oregon need to first send in game film for the Oregon coaching staff to evaluate. Tapes or DVDs can be sent to the following address:

Attending a sport-specific camp is great way to learn new skills and master old ones. Most camps take place during the summer and are usually hosted on a university’s campus by that school’s coaching staff.
