Early lead gives Summit easy victory over Springfield, 10-0
Summit rolled over Springfield 10-0 on Friday at SHS after a seven-run rally in the first inning.
Brennan Rooks racked up three RBIs on two hits for Summit. He doubled in the second inning and singled in the fourth inning. Kevin Hamann got the win for Summit. He pitched four shutout innings. He struck out one, walked one and surrendered three hits.
Summit increased its lead with three runs in the second. Rooks kicked things off with a double, bringing home Konner Reddick and DJ Wilson. That was followed up by a fielder's choice that scored Rooks.
