SUMMIT HIGH SCHOOL BOYS SOCCER 2019

The 2019 season is approaching and we are excited about another successful season with the Summit Boys Soccer Program. We are anticipating another strong turn out this fall.  We expect having 3 teams (Varsity, JV, and JV2).   I encourage all of those interested in playing soccer to work on their skills and conditioning during the summer.  

SUMMER TRAINING (BEGIN JUNE 25TH THROUGH EARLY-AUGUST)                                                                                        

We are planning on having summer training sessions beginning in June 25th.  These sessions will be held at Summit High School.  The focus of these sessions will be having fun, light conditioning and getting to know other players and coaches.  Participation is not mandatory but strongly encouraged to ensure we have enough people for full-field scrimmages.  They are scheduled for Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5pm-7pm.  TEAM CALENDAR HAS BEEN UPDATED THROUGH JULY.  

OSAA MORATORIUM WEEK (July 28-August 3)                                                                                                        

No athletic training or use of facilities (statewide).

CONDITIONING CAMP (Aug. 12-16)                                                                                      

Camp is scheduled from August 12th-16th.  This is a fee based camp ($30). This optional camp is intended to help athletes get in shape for tryouts and is a fundraising event for the Boys Soccer Team.  Tentatively scheduled from 4pm-5:30pm. Check team website in July for details. 

TRYOUTS (Aug 19-23)                                                                                                                                           

Tryouts (Daily doubles Mon./Wed./Fri.   One session Tue. /Thur.) are scheduled from August 19th-23th.  Times are yet to be determined.   Check team website in July for details.

PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS                                                                                                                  

It is important that all necessary paperwork is successfully completed prior to tryouts.  The paperwork can be completed in early August through the Summit High School Athletic Office or online (https://www.bend.k12.or.us/summit/student-life/athletics).  Physicals are also required for incoming freshman, juniors and new students to the Summit High School Athletic Program.  Please take care of these important participation requirements prior to August 16^th.
