Tryouts begin the week of August 19th. There will be a morning session on M/W/F for fitness testing/conditioning and an evening session M-F to assess the categories below. In order to tryout you must have your paperwork filled out and submitted online, a current physical on file (freshman, juniors and transfers), fees paid, ASB purchased prior to the 1st day of morning conditioning. I will be getting a list of who is cleared to participate the Friday before tryouts. The athletic office will be closed the first day of tryouts so DO NOT wait to get everything turned in. Please bring cleats, shinguards, appropriate clothing, water and snack, and medical supplies (as needed) to both sessions.
Players will be evaluated by coaching staff in the following areas: technical ability, tactical awareness, attitude/coachability, and fitness level. At the end of the week/weekend teams will be posted via Student ID on the website. Every year there is concern of "cuts." Over the last couple of years our tryout numbers and skill level have increased to a point where "cuts" and tough decisions have become inevitable. Players will be made aware of the tryout process throughout the week and parents will be made aware of the process through a parent meeting and/or email.
Conditioning Camp Information
Camp will be Monday thru Friday (12th-16th) at Summit from 8-10:15am. Camp is not required however strongly encouraged as a boost of fitness for the season and tryouts as well as a great environment to get to know players from the program before tryouts. Cost of camp is $30 please bring on Monday). You will need to bring the following: cleats, running shoes, appropriate layers of clothing, water, and a snack. Camp will be strenuous, so in order to minimize stress on you feet and legs please evaluate the condition of your footwear. Shin splints are common and in many cases avoidable with proper footwear. I suggest a good pair of running shoes and cleats (not worn out/old), as well as a removable insole that can be placed in either to help support the arch. If you use an inhaler bring it with you daily. Please contact me with any last minute questions regarding camp. See you on Monday !!

Banners and Signs
Show your support for Summit while promoting your business at the same time! Indoor gym banners and outdoor stadium signs are available. You supply the artwork, and we will create the banner or sign that will remain on display for one calendar year. In addition to your signage, you may designate the student activity or sports program you want to your dollars contributed towards.
